The reinforced capsule a Tuber controls during a combat emergency. They're nearly impossible to destroy. A Tube Tomb's entire purpose is to get a Tuber to a hull breach as quickly as possible so it can be welded shut. In a dire situation they can self weld, or Bake the Spud.
