The core teachings of Chef Sibzab and the primary book of learning for the Astral Appetite Academy. The book is regarded as a holy text by Server of Sibzab.

The Culinendium of Sibzabbery is much more than just a cook book. Because cooking is a form of worship it goes into ritualistic detail. For an example, the proper ritual for watching a brothy soup with big chunks (like a stew) is to stir 17 times over the course of ten minutes, use a wide spoon to taste the broth once, then use a narrow spoon for the second taste. The second taste should have a minor amount of salt and other core seasonings for the soup added to it to compare if the soup needs more spices. The broth needs cooled on the spoon with 11 slow exhales before tasting. After use the spoons are put on a red cloth to be cleaned and shined by a secondary cook whose sole job is to do minor upkeep tasks like that in service of the other cooks.

There are a handful of different interpretations of the Culinendium. While most sects get along fine a few of them at opposite ends of interpretation will have scuffles. One of the more common differences is whether or not substitute ingredients are considered a sin. Importantly, normal cooking allows for many substitutes but ritualistic worship meals are the ones in question. Some groups consider it critically important to have those meals as written while other groups consider it a sin to deny a meal based on use of regional ingredients. Often it is grocery stores catering to Server of Sibzab that get targeted the most since some will offer substitutes and some won't.

For non-worship meals the Culinendium of Sibzabbery is very open about substitutes and includes many recipe variants. This is where the Astral Appetite Academy focuses most as well. It is considered a living document of recipes with millions of entries from all regions in the galaxy. As part of the Intergalactic Expansion a rare rift occurred surrounding the non-religious part of the Culinendium. Some groups thought it important to record and worship all foods while other groups considered it part of their mission to convert native populations' diets to fit within existing Culinendium meals. Regardless, intergalactic ingredients were rolled into the book and mainly the types of dishes being made were in conflict.

It is considered expected that if a Server of Sibzab is starving that they consume the Culinendium of Sibzabbery. The ritual behind preparing and consuming a Culinendium is extensive and parts of the recipe only reveal itself during chemical changes during the cooking process. Most sects agree it is greatly disrespectful to consume one outside of dire need. Revealing the recipe to a non follower has sometimes led to being excommunicated.
