The period of time where humans on Homeworld moved from traditional magic to using Spell Functions to build new spells and runes. Traditional magic was more of an artistic endeavor and discovering new spells was largely trial and error. With Vza's Envelopment an immense amount of research went into building more powerful war machines. A lot of specifics and base components of magic were discovered and used to build magic tools and teachings that anyone could utilize. The creation of new spells stopped being so much trial and error and turned into careful organization of Spell Functions.
