A device used to translate information between a Contained AI Environment and a CAIE Troubleshooter. Original interfaces were more akin to playing a game on a screened device, while later models would bring the CAIE Troubleshooters consciousness directly into the Contained AI Environment.

Sometimes a brain was physically damaged as a result of bringing the consciousness back in from a Contained AI Environment. This particular type of damage stopped occurring as the safety of interfaces improved. The most common side effect for this kind of damage would be CAIE Coma.
