The over-mining of Vrarsh which ultimately leads to the Magic Reintroduction event.

The barbarians follow a broken creed and have no idea the destruction that will be caused. Repeatedly they have been informed I am protecting them, yet they continue to rebel. All in the name of their absurd need to claim metals as displays of superiority.

Vrarsh is being stripped to the core! One layer at a time the barbarians step closer to the end of us all. I have given them wealth, I have given them stability, I have allowed them to live as they wish to, yet they grow jealous of me and demand Vrarsh. The absurdity of these creatures! And at one time I could not see why my siblings hated them. But now I see!
The General Galactic knew of Vrarsh's nature long before other groups and feared it could be used to shift galactic control. It quickly put up a lot of restrictions to the access of Vrarsh. This was eventually pushed back against by the Trade Syndicate as their influence started to rival the General Galactic. Vrarsh started being strip mined for the raw materials. This slowly deteriorated the nullification effect and eventually destabilized the system. A great line of fire etched runes into Vrarsh, visible from orbit, and turned some of the moons molten.
At this point The Cloud was also aware of a lot of what the General Galactic knew of Vrarsh. They started having a very rare problem of information leaks to the public. As the shattering rippled through the galaxy companies started to take advantage of magic, setting the groundwork for Magic Reintroduction. The conspiracies surrounding all this and the inability for the General Galactic to contain anything or properly fight against the Trade Syndicate also led to the Fall of the General Galactic.
