#Existence
#TODO Tangle and Entangle should be standardized in wording. There also needs to be a separation of the term used for when two atoms tangle to become a molecule, and when a Free Chain hits an atom and gets incorporated into the atom. More than just this page has this issue.
Several types of atoms are prone to reverting from a high energy state to a low energy state. High Energy Reversion is different from the state change caused during Radioactive Chain Decay decay in that it doesn't lose any Atomic Chains. Instead it is part of a cycle within the Atomic Chains.
To start, calling an atom "high energy" is a bit misleading. Typically only one half of a stable atom is high energy. If the entire atom is high energy it almost always results in Radioactive Chain Decay or even Atomic Collapse. When distinctions must be made, the high energy half is called "energetic" and the low energy half is "Neutral".
When Atomic Chains rotate through the Chain Reweaver they compress very closely together. The parts of the Atomic Chains rotating out of the Chain Reweaver are almost always neutral. The parts rotating in have peak energy, and the parts between scale exponentially from neutral to energetic. In rare cases the energy scale is linear. Atoms with a linear scale are very stable and not prone to High Energy Reversion or Radioactive Chain Decay, but have similar rates of Atomic Collapse.
High Energy Reversion is when an atom loses its energetic half and both halves become neutral. Exactly why and when this occurs is unknown. Which atoms it will likely happen to, however, is fairly predictable. An atom's Chain Reweaver will loosen slightly before the energetic half becomes neutral. The atom's Atomic Chains can still tangle with each other or other atoms though this is rare. Even more rarely, entanglement can retighten the Chain Reweaver.
A retightened Chain Reweaver will reenergize the atom and make it more reactive again. Only a couple types of atoms are known to be capable of doing this by themselves. Typically when this occurs it is from an introduction of a Free Chain hitting it and tangling. Tangling with another atom can also reenergize it, but in a neutral state most atoms won't tangle with others.
The types of atoms that can go through High Energy Reversion are fairly predictable. There are several types of Atomic Chains that when in the same atom correlates with the chance of High Energy Reversion. Many Atomic Chains pairs or triplets are known to trigger High Energy Reversion. They can be in a single atom or tangled between multiple atoms. If tangled atoms don't individually have a problem set, only one atom typically reverts and the atoms may untangle.
