Old Barracksbones, one of the oldest families. Watched over and trained the colony militias. Barracksbones and the First Ship Government had mutually beneficial ties.
During the Intelligence Wars the Barracksbones family wealth kept them afloat. Eventually they used government ties to form the Barracksbones Leathers company as a stable way to keep their wealth.
After the Intelligence Wars humans were looking to conquer more of the galaxy and still had use for armors. This helped ensure the family wealth for a short time as they switched support from the First Ship Government to the newly rising General Galactic.
The First Ship Government lost wealth, and access to armor, due to these contracts with the General Galactic. This and Condemn-AI Barracksbones active opposition were major factors in the quick removal of the old government.
