Emberhull being destroyed was a major turning point in the Genocide of the Galactic Trade Fleet. It took away the Galactic Trade Fleet's cohesion and organized resistance. It was portrayed as the Galactic Trade Fleet's losing event but in reality the battles and Genocide of the Galactic Trade Fleet continued for generations. Since the Emberhull was the last of the First Ships it was considered a great cultural loss by many, even those outside the Galactic Trade Fleet.
