Named after Emberhull, an Ember is someone's guide through life. It was spiritually significant for many people of the Galactic Trade Fleet. Typically an Ember takes on the form of a ship or component of a ship, often the engines. Embers were usually represented by symbols of ships streaking through the sky trailing flame or light behind them.

During the Genocide of the Galactic Trade Fleet the symbolism was taken. Originally a personal representation of Emberhull's flight off of Homeworld it was replaced by nationalistic symbols of Zvelvist, Solar Seed's flight out of the galaxy.
