A collection of several hundred to tens of thousands of System Essential Employees. The farm as a whole performs specific higher level tasks. System Essential Employees each have sub tasks, like a single line of code that needs calculated. A System Essential Employee will receive different requests from different parts of the farm and send their outputs to other parts of the farm. It is effectively a circuit board or computer program using people instead of chips or code.

The intention of a farm is to have some of the functionality found with advanced computers while preventing AI Infiltration. By keeping operations and entire complex programs separated, there aren't any ways for an AI to be mobile. Each workstation is also limited in capacity so the chance of AI Infiltration within any one part of the system is also low. Data packs going to and from farms are manually processed to find signs of AI. These checks are performed both by the farm and redundantly by third parties. Scanning data for AI Infiltration is quite laborious so farms are designed to be interfaced with in a way that requires minimal amounts of data.
