A stream of matter that is shot at near light speed across space. Typically it is used to transport people who refuse data based transportation (that is, being scanned then vaporized and having information about the body sent through space, and being reconstructed with new atoms on the other end). There are many superstitions and ethical debates surrounding using your own atoms vs. reconstruction from data.

They tend to get corrupted in-transit so they also have verification data sent ahead of the stream. Any lost atoms get replaced as needed during reconstruction at the destination. Typically streams are also scanned for Existence Atoms during transit as well.

An atom stream can be suspended before sending or after being received. This allows them to be studied, repaired, or simply held for later reconstruction.
