Once Reality Processing Units were small enough to have several working in tandem, companies started to make Reality Boards. Reality Processing Units were wired together with a variety of data translators between them. Individual Reality Processing Units could be loaded on the fly with the necessary Contained AI Environment which allowed for rapid shifting of very complex calculations.
Part of the reduction of size in Reality Processing Units came from the fact that in a Reality Board each Contained AI Environment could be relatively simplistic in nature. More complex calculations were solved by combining and interfacing with much more dedicated purpose Contained AI Environments than the kind that was created for early Reality Processing Units.
